Guided meditation
taking a journey . . . inside
Guided meditation describes a form of meditation which utilizes a number of different techniques to achieve or enhance the meditative state. It may simply be meditation done under the guidance of a trained practitioner or teacher, or it may be through the use of spoken word, imagery, music, and other techniques. The sessions can be in person, via media comprising verbal instruction or a combination of both. The most common form is a combination of breath work, guided imagery, relaxation, mindfulness, journaling and can have an agreed identified goal
Documented results include reducing stress, asthmatic episodes, physical pain, insomnia, episodic anger, panic attacks, phobias, negative or irrational thinking, and anxiety, as well as improving coping skills, focus, and a general feeling of improved well-being and inner peace.

Meditation can be a short technique used to relax and focus prior to a situation that historically produced anxiety (e.g dentist, exam, job interview), a deeper relaxing internal journey used to facilitate sleep (e.g during a massage), or combined with physical movement and 'breath work' (e.g yoga and martial arts) to draw life force from the universe.

Combined with other energy principles its effects are enhanced
